As a finance student at Rider University, Tom Gallina always knew he wanted a career in sales. What he didn’t know was that the internship he accepted, as a way to get three college credits without going to class, would become his first love.
“I absolutely fell in love with the business,” said Gallina of his internship experience with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. “The Savino Financial Group has a very supportive office environment and I had two terrific mentors who are still great colleagues fifteen years later.”
Gallina was an intern for 18 months before graduating from Rider University’s College of Business Administration. After college, as a full-time Financial Representative, Tom thrived on the idea that he could be his own boss, determine his own income potential and have an impact on people’s lives. This type of career has been rewarding and flexible as Tom’s needs have changed.
“Since I started with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network I’ve married, and my wife and I have three children now. My family is really important to me and I feel very fortunate that I am my own boss and I have control over my time schedule,” said Gallina.
Tom has had many rewarding experiences helping his clients prepare for college educations, retirement and financial security in the event of premature death or disability. Tom currently specializes in helping seniors distribute their accumulated wealth to enjoy the golden years.
Another way Tom has had an impact on others is as he directs the training and development of new Financial Representatives. “It takes me back to when I was just starting out, and I’m glad I have the chance to help influence clients and associates as they discover their strategies for financial security.” |
